Education & Outreach
The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) is committed to increasing our presence and availability to the TCU research community. Our education and outreach program started in Fall 2022. Whether it’s Cayuse or TCU policy updates, to any changes in federal regulations, you can now be well informed about all things from your ORC as it is related to human subject research. We will have several opportunities for faculty and students to receive IRB education and training. These include the IRB 101 – Bootcamp, IRB Office Hours, Human Research Protection Learning Series, and Consultation/ Classroom Education Requests.
IRB 101 – Cayuse Bootcamp
*This training session will be offered at the start of the Fall and Spring semesters only*
Spring 2026 – The IRB 101 training session will be held in person at Sadler Hall, Room 421, on January 30th, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
IRB Office Hours
The TCU Office of Research Compliance will offer IRB office hours for faculty, research staff, and students. Bring your IRB questions or inquiries about the online submission system, Cayuse. The TCU research community will have an opportunity each month to discuss with ORC staff about your research needs
In addition, the ORC will also hold office hours for the Burnett School of Medicine, which started in the Summer of 2023. Please fill out and submit your request below, using the IRB Education Request form.
IRB office hours will now be offering both virtual and in-person sessions. Virtual will be every 2nd Wednesday and in-person every 4th Wednesday of the month.
Starting from January 28th, 2026, in-person office hours will be located on the first floor of Scharbauer Hall, Room 1001A, from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Starting February 11th, 2026, virtual office hours will be from 3 pm to 5 pm using the following Zoom link.

The Office of Research Compliance makes the following training and consultation available upon request. Please complete the form below with enough advance notice of when you would like the meeting, training, or consultation to take place.
