Proposal Development for Faculty

The TCU Office of Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce three new programs designed to assist faculty at all levels as they develop and submit funding proposals to external sponsors.

The R2 Strong Program

The TCU Office of Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce our new R2 Strong Proposal Development Program.  This program is designed to support all full-time tenure/tenure-track faculty in the development and submission of a proposal for competitive extramural funding with a budget of $150,000 annually, or greater, in direct costs.

The R2 Strong proposal development program may support course buyout to allow adequate time for proposal preparation.  Faculty awarded a course-buyout to participate in the program are prohibited from accepting an additional course assignment, paid or not during that time.  The research project should be germane to the faculty member’s career interests and departmental mission.

The Program Officers / Sponsors Travel (POST) Program

ON HOLD

The goal of the POST program is to provide TCU faculty the opportunity to meet with funding program officers and / or funding sponsor agents.  Faculty must have their funding idea sufficiently developed including project aims, goals and a general budget.  The faculty member must have already made contact with a program officer and discussed a white paper or some other mechanism for discussing a research project with a sponsor.  The program is open to all full time faculty and professors of practice at TCU.  The Office of Sponsored Programs will assist in providing travel costs. The program will run until funding is exhausted.
